He sliced his left arm with a razor blade upon returning home, drank 520 ml of vodka, and intended to overdose on his metformin medicine before being escorted to the hospital by a friend. He reported to have a plan to overdose on his medication. After recovering from an alcohol hangover and being assessed by the emergency psychiatrist, the drug and alcohol addiction teams, he was transferred to the acute Mental Health Unit (MHU) for admission. Physically, he suffers from type 2 diabetes and has a bandaged left arm due to self-harm.
