You are to identify and summarise the professional practice issues from the case study from a nursing practice perspective. You will draw on the professional frameworks and regulatory legislation, specifically The National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS), Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA) professional standards and NSW Health policy documents (where appropriate). You will develop informed, sound and appropriate responses to the clinical incident where you will identify and evaluate relevant professional errors that potentially contributed to the incident happening. This will inform your future practice where you will discuss how it might change and develop as a result of this learning.
